Blues Legends at the Poor House Bistro

Check out the video I put together of many blues jam sessions at the Poor House Bistro. It is a bunch of different musicians, not just one band. But these musicians do jam with each other even if they do not belong to a certain band. The song is “Got My Mojo Working” done by the School of the Blues All-Star Band.

Enjoy!

Metro Fountain Blues Festival

Fountain Blues Festival

If you aren’t too sure if you like the blues or not then you should check out the Metro Fountain Blues Festival on Saturday May 10th. It is produced by the Associated Students at San Jose State University. It takes place on campus, at the San Carlos Plaza from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m and it is free!

This is a great way to be introduced to live music, especiallythe blues. Blues musicians put a lot of feeling and emotion into their music, so it is definitely something that should be experienced live. Plus, if you bring along some friends that may have their doubts, get them a few beers and they will be grooving right along with the music!

Welcome!

Hi! My name is Bianca and this is my blog that follows live blues music events in Downtown San Jose. Most of the events that I will keep you updated on happen at the Poor House Bistro located on Autumn and San Fernando, right across from the HP Pavilion. The Poor House Bistro is a New Orleans style restaurant that also has an outdoor patio for live music performances.

If you are a follower of the blues, you know that the Poor House Bistro is the place to be!
